Open position: Consultant

Beyond2050 is a fast growing strategic and political communications agency based in central London. We are proud to have been voted ‘Small Consultancy of the Year’ at the 2024 PRCA Awards. We are looking to recruit a proactive, ambitious and politically astute Consultant to support the next stage of our growth.

We have a particular focus on hydrogen and work with some of the UK’s most innovative and ambitious entrepreneurs and energy leaders of the future including SMEs, technology providers and large energy companies. We support them to engage in the formal political and policy making process and mobilise advocacy in support of their vision to seize the opportunities of our changing world and accelerate our pathway to Net Zero.

As a Consultant (Account Manager equivalent) you will play a leading role in client projects, driving progress and delivering products in support of their aims. You will build strong relationships with clients, politicians, advisers, officials, and industry representatives.

Experience in hydrogen policy is not essential, but experience in energy policy, green technology, transport, or infrastructure would be an advantage.

We are a young, ambitious and fast-growing agency. This means we take a nimble approach to delivery and your role is likely to be flexible, working across clients and projects. You will be supported to develop your skills and will work with our founder and senior leaders directly.

In this role, you’ll find yourself:

— Using informed, data driven research and political insight to advise clients.

— Managing busy client account teams.

— Producing high-quality materials, including documents, reports and briefings.

— Supporting political interventions aligned with client aims.

— Managing the delivery of political events.

— Collaborating on new business proposals and pitches.

— Line management responsibilities.

You’re perfect for this role if you have:

— At least two years’ experience working in public affairs, policy or politics.

— The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

— Excellent time management and organisation skills.

— Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

— Experience building relationships with senior political and industry stakeholders.

— Entrepreneurial attitude, able to develop client business.

We have an ambition to be the best place to work in Westminster with an excellent benefits package, including:

— Flexible hybrid working, with a London office near London Bridge. Two days a week are required in the office.

— 25 days’ paid leave plus bank holidays and 3 additional days at Christmas.

— Enhanced parental leave and pay.

— Competitive bonus scheme, including annual profit share, new business and spot bonuses for all staff.

— ‘Summer Hours’ policy.

— Annual wellbeing fund and volunteering allowance.

— Private healthcare.

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 + potential for bonuses
